Emles portfolio manager, Nathan Miller, recently participated in the panel discussion Hidden Gem Strategies to Help Your Portfolio in 2022, hosted by ETF Trends. Miller discussed the Emles Alpha Opportunities ETF (EOPS) and finding value opportunities in stocks that are ignored, troubled stocks, or troubled sectors.
“Simply put, while popular strategies like chasing growth or buying innovative and disruptive stocks seems exciting, and it can work over short periods of time, one- or two-year periods of time, they lead to terrible long-term performance,” says Miller.
EOPS is an actively managed fund using an equity long / short strategy that combines deep value investing and catalyst trading. The fund invests primarily in value stocks and has the flexibility to use options, indices, and other transparent and liquid instruments to help generate alpha and mitigate risk.
